From open.er-api.com, a free service that publishes a daily table of rates against the US dollar. The request carries no account, amount, or identity - everyone receives the same table - and it is the only network request anything on this site makes.
They are mid-market reference rates updated about once a day, fine for planning and budgeting. A bank or card will apply its own spread on top, so expect a slightly worse rate when you actually exchange money.
They are the display currencies the app supports: US dollar, euro, British pound, Canadian dollar, Japanese yen, and Swedish krona. More arrive as the app adds them.
