Bugs and feature requests
Open an issue on GitHub. It is the best place for anything that should be fixed or added: the thread stays public, so anyone with the same problem can find it, and the fix gets linked back when it ships.

Email
For anything you would rather not post publicly, or if you do not have a GitHub account. The address is written out below so you can copy it if the link does not open your mail app.

From inside the app
Open the Profile tab and tap Send Feedback, right under your name. It drafts the email for you and fills in your app version and phone platform, which is exactly what a bug report needs.
What to include in a bug report
- Your app version - shown at the bottom of the Profile tab. Send Feedback in the app adds it automatically.
- Your phone and system version - for example "iPhone 15, iOS 26" or "Pixel 8, Android 16".
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps a lot. Cover any amounts you would rather keep private; the picture is just as useful without them.
- Whether it happens every time, or only after something specific like a bank sync, a theme change, or an update.
Please do not send a backup file. BudgetArk never has access to your data, and a bug report should not change that. If a fix needs more detail, we will ask for exactly what is required and nothing more.
Before you write
- The FAQ covers the questions that come up most: privacy, bank connections, Partner Sync, languages, and why the app is free.
- Inside the app, Profile โ Help โ Feature guide lists every feature by tab, with steps and a Try it button that takes you straight there.
- The news page lists every release. If something just started happening after an update, the newest post is the place to look.
- Questions about what the app collects are answered in full in the privacy policy.
Reviews and the Tip Jar
Reviews on the App Store and Google Play are the single most helpful thing you can do for a free app with no marketing budget. Tip Jar purchases are handled entirely by the store; for a refund, use the store's own refund request, since BudgetArk never sees the transaction.
